The main Items page currently provides a glimpse at some temporary items, similar to what may be available in the final Diablo III game. Items are broken down into categories, allowing you to quickly browse for upgrades by armor slot or weapon type, as well as for consumables, crafting materials, crafting recipes, and enhancements.
If you're looking for something specific and want to narrow your results, you can also choose to filter item types by class or by follower simply by toggling the corresponding icons located at the bottom of the page. Once a class or follower is selected, groups of items (e.g. cloaks, mighty belts, and fist weapons) that cannot be used by the class or follower you've toggled will be grayed out for your convenience.
Many different types of items are viewable in the database, including Common items, Legendary items, crafted items, and set pieces (due to the number of possible affix combinations, Magic and Rare drops will not be listed).
Clicking on an item group -- like "Helms" for example -- from the main Items page will display all currently known items in the game in that group. Depending on what kind of item you're looking for, you can tailor which items are displayed and in what order by using the filter options available on the item list. For armor, you can filter by level and armor value and for weapons, by level, attack speed, and DPS. Both item types can also be filtered by "Common," "Crafted," and "Legendary" and, for armor, by "Set" pieces, as well. Crafting recipes are organized by artisan and can be viewed according to quality (Magic, Rare, and Legendary).
But that's not all! Crafting materials, scrolls, and tomes are also at your fingertips, as well potions, dyes, gems, and runestones, which are arranged in a grid format to make navigation simple and easy.
Each item page will provide basic, but important information about the item you're viewing including the item's name, required level, and stats. Certain items will also have additional information displayed depending on the item type:
- Artisan information -- Artisan information will feature important details about a crafted item, including the artisan it's crafted by, its level, the required materials, and its gold cost.
- Appearance section -- For select armor types, the appearance section on an item page will show how the specific item looks for each class.
- Material for -- When viewing the page for a crafting material, the "Material For" section will display all recipes in which that item is a component.
We hope you enjoy these improvements and encourage you to let us know what you think by visiting theWebsite Features forum. Stay tuned for additional expansions of the Diablo III community site -- we have a lot more in store for you, including an in-depth look at the artisans, coming soon!
